In June 2006, Euforic members gathered in The Hague for their annual general meeting. Entitled 'Information – Knowledge – Communication: Strategies and Tools for Effective International Cooperation', this was one of the largest Euforic gatherings for some time, attracting more than 75 participants to discuss directions for development research, uses of new web technologies in development, approaches to institutional learning, information and knowledge sharing strategies and tools, and their links with Europe's international cooperation.
One key conclusion emerging from the discussions is that an organization like Euforic has an enormous value in providing spaces to connect, cross-fertilize and catalyze discussions – as well as collaboration and learning – among diverse communities of European organizations working in international cooperation.
