Since 1998, the project was funded by the Belgian government - as an information source and platform to find and disseminate Belgian expertise, data and information on Central Africa.
Beyond a review of Metafro activities, the review team was asked to take a forward-looking and institutional approach, signposting issues to be examined by the RMCA.
It was a challenging exercise - looking at research collections, library catalogues, and digital strategies for a development research museum.
