CONCORD: Communicating to alleviate poverty?

On 15 October, participants in the CONCORD Communication Network met in Brussels (see a blog set up by participants). As this was world blog action day - with a theme poverty - we asked some of them about the links between communication and poverty alleviarion.

Agnes Philippart of CONCORD explains that CONCORD partners with GCAP to pressure politicians to take action on world poverty. She also advocates a mix of communication tools:

Laura Sullivan from ActionAid International argues that communication is extrmely important to help real people understand how aid contrbutes to the fight against poverty.

Sander Laban of Partos Netherlands reflects on the importance of communication to address poverty - by emphasising the inter-relations between north and south and between different international policies.
